CAPITAL MARKETS, FINANCIAL MARKETS AND M&A HOW LONG WILL RECESSION LAST?
14th Annual Round Table Discussion
Date: 1 February 2024, 12:00–18:00
Location: Technopolis Beta, J. Balčikonio g. 3, Vilnius (hall Šatrijos Ragana)
„It seems that not much has to happen to push the eurozone into recession“, say some experts, while the others claim „It is almost sure we are going to have a recession by the year-end.” Still others try to convince us “The downturn will be mild, as recessions go, but a recession nonetheless”. It’s obvious that EU economy struggles to recover from the consecutive crises caused by the coronavirus pandemic and Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine, both of which exposed frailties in the bloc’s supply chains, energy market and global dependencies. How the eurozone economy contraction will reflect on the capital markets, financial markets and M&A in the Baltic countries? Will the downturn be mild for investors?
